The H.A.R.T. Center has a very active Fund Raising Department. In an age of diminishing government support,

On the third Sunday of each month, over 100 people come to the H.A.R.T. Center hoping to win some of the over $3000 that will be given away. Six jackpots ranging from $100 to $1000 catch everyone's attention. While bingo is the major attraction, many people enjoy playing the games of chance tickets and the many raffles that are available. Our cafeteria offers a wide range of foods and beverages. Many of our consumers, their parents, and friends attend these bingos. There are no bingos held in the summer months.

This event is much the same as our regular Sunday bingos, except that it is held on Super Bowl Sunday. This allows the "Super Bowl Widows" their afternoon alone. Nearly 250 players attend with the hopes of winning big and supporting their favorite team.

The "help for HART" tournament has been held at South Hills Golf Course for over 23 years. This local corporate sponsored event attracts over 140 golfers. Hole-in-one contests, golf trip giveaways, putting contests, and raffles add to the fun. An awards party is traditionally held following the tournament.

This annual tournament dedicated to "lousy to mediocre" golfers has been held for over 20 years. Giveaways, special prizes, and Fat Chuck's golf tips are a sure hit.

This event is held in October. Golfers get to use only a limited number of clubs. This is a chance to witness if there is any improvement in Chuck's golf game.

Harry Tausso, owner of Olivia's Restaurant, started this tournament to benefit the H.A.R.T. Center. This 4 person scramble hopes to attract more golfers each year. An awards party of dinner is held at Olivia's Restaurant.

This annual event is held during the summer at South Hills Golf Course. Over 100 golfers attended this past year. Prizes and trophies are awarded to six age groups.

This event is scheduled in May and held at the New Oxford Social Club Pavilion. Brian "The Breeze-Mon" Shafer has been the D.J. Nearly 400 attend this "tropical attire" dance presented by the Hanover Area Parrothead Society.

The Hanover Chili Cook-Off is held at Good Field, Poplar Street on the Sunday before Labor Day, Proceeds from this event are donated to the H.A.R.T. Center and other local charities. The cook-off has grown each year, with over 60 entries cooking their specialty chili. In addition to sampling great food, there is a variety of entertainment for the entire family.
